Always wanted to run? Have we got the program for you.
Our FREE Walk2Run program where you will train, over 10 weeks, to run for 30 continuous minutes. You will start off walking more, running less, and each week you will increase your running and decrease your walking until by the end of the 10 weeks your goal is to run for 30 min. and sign up for an optional 5k to celebrate your achievement! This program is for beginners and any age is welcome, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
There is no pressure for distance or time, you go at your own pace, in this encouraging but laid back atmosphere. We leave the store promptly at 6:15 to begin our session at 6:30. The first night of each session we meet at 6pm so that extra time is allowed for filling out the necessary waiver and so that your questions can be answered. Plan on allowing approximately one hour each Monday night. That allows us to walk to Mt. St. Mary's Park, do the 30 min walk/run, stretch and walk back to the store.
We offer both a morning (9am) and evening (6:30pm)session on Mondays for Walk 2 Run.
Walk2Run Sessions for 2018 are as follows:
- Spring - March 12th - May 14th
- Summer - May 29th - July 30th
- Fall - August 13th - October 15th
