My name is Chris Wilhite and I am co-manager of Dick Pond Hoffman Estates. I have worked run speacialty for 13 years and also have been in charge of our shoemobiles that service the schools and races in the area as well as helping open our Park Ridge location. I have competed in many distances over the years from 5k to half marathon. I welcome you to come into the store and see how our staff can help you improve your running with proper footwear and our wide variety of apparel and accessories. My name is Nick Hurley and I am co-manager of Dick Pond Hoffman Estates, joining the staff from our Carol Stream location. I am excited to be a part of the running community in Hoffman Estates! I have worked for Dick Pond for 8 years, working in several different capacities. Dick Pond Hoffman Estates welcomes runners of all paces to it's weekly Fun Run.
We run every Monday @ 6:15 P.M.
Most runners run 4 miles
Please note: all winter long we have Speed Club workouts starting from the store (not at Harper College) at 6:15!! SATURDAY MORNING "BREAKFAST RUN CLUB WILL RUN YEAR ROUND!
"THE BREAKFAST CLUB" runs every Saturday Morning at 8:30 A.M. from the Hoffman Store.
We have a 30 minute and a 60 minute option. You may walk or run at any pace.

Earn a "BREAKFAST CLUB MUG" BY ACCUMULATING MINUTES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!
Your breakfast club mug will be displayed in the store; Your milestones will be indicated on your mug!
500 minutes, 1000 minutes, 1500 minutes, 2000 minutes (Gold Level)
All minutes will need to be earned at our Saturday Morning Run.

Join our FREE Walk2Run program where you will train, over 10 weeks, to run for 30 continuous minutes. You will start off walking more, running less, and each week you will increase your running and decrease your walking until by the end of the 10 weeks your goal is to run for 30 min. and sign up for an optional 5k to celebrate your achievement!This program is for beginners and any age is welcome, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. There is no pressure for distance or time, you go at your own pace, in this encouraging but laid back atmosphere.
Keep those gains you made all spring and summer by staying with us through the fall. Walk2Run will continue to meet at 6 PM every Wednesday night to provide a group atmosphere to keep your training going. Whether you are walking or running, join this great group!

Walk2Run Sessions for 2015 are as follows:
Session 1 - March 25rd to May 23th - Graduation race is the Elgin Foxtrot
Session 2 - May 27th to July 25th - Graduation race is the Fitness for America Festival 5K
Session 3 - July 29th - September 26th - Graduation race is September 27th Run 2 Read 5K
Session 4 - September 30th - November 28th - Graduation race is Turkey Trot 5K
New this session! Ready to take the next step? Walk2Run 2.0 is just for you. We will meet earlier at 6 PM and begin building up to 60 minutes of running. This is a great way to build on your fitness if you have already completed a Walk2Run session and are looking for a new challenge.
